Funko Inc., the renowned toymaker famous for its Funko Pop! collectibles featuring popular franchises like DC Comics, Marvel, and Disney, is set to open a new retail store in the Phoenix area. The store will officially welcome customers on November 29, coinciding with the Black Friday shopping rush.

Located in Buckeye at 2600 S. Miller Road within the company's distribution center, the store will serve as one of Funko's "last chance" outlets, providing shoppers with 50% off merchandise.

A Funko spokesperson expressed enthusiasm for the new store, stating, "As the location of previous Pop! Up sales in the past two years, we are happy to give our fans a permanent destination to save a buck in Buckeye."

Funko held a soft opening for the store on November 21 and will join its existing retail locations, including a 40,000-square-foot shop in California and a 99,000-square-foot headquarters and retail outlet in Everett, Washington.

In 2022, Funko moved its primary distribution center to a one-million-square-foot facility in Buckeye, closing its Washington warehouses. The company previously announced plans to create 300 new jobs at this location, which is set to remain operational until at least 2032.

From here, Funko will distribute its extensive range of products, including Pop!, Paka Paka, GOLD, Loungefly, and Funko Games. As of December 2023, the company employed nearly 1,300 individuals and maintained licensing agreements with over 250 content providers across 900 active properties.

Recently, Funko exceeded earnings expectations, reporting net sales of $292.8 million in the third quarter, a slight decrease from the $312.9 million reported in the same period in 2022. Following the announcement, the company's stock surged by 6.5%, closing at $11.30.
