Parsons Corporation and Globalstar have unveiled their exclusive partnership aimed at serving the public, government, and defense sectors. This collaboration will showcase Parsons' software-defined satellite communications solution, utilizing Globalstar’s Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network.

With the increasing demand for dependable global communication services in complex and crowded environments, this partnership offers an innovative solution designed to enhance resilience against disrupted communication channels. By leveraging Globalstar’s LEO satellite constellation, the alliance seeks to establish robust and diverse communication protocols to meet a wide range of communication requirements.

“This successful demonstration marks a significant advancement in our ability to utilize satellite infrastructure to support crucial missions across multiple industries,” stated Mike Kushin, president of Defense and Intelligence at Parsons. “By integrating Globalstar’s cutting-edge satellite technology, we are refining the Parsons capability solution to ensure connectivity in regions challenged by radio frequency congestion.”

The Proof of Concept, which began earlier this year, is moving through the necessary processes to prepare for commercial deployment. This successful demonstration represents a notable milestone, being the first of its kind in North America, and provides mission-critical solutions tailored for radio frequency (RF)-congested settings, setting a new benchmark for global communication services under difficult operational circumstances.

“Collaborating with Parsons Corporation enables us to showcase the adaptability and effectiveness of our satellite solutions in tackling essential connectivity issues,” remarked Paul E. Jacobs, CEO of Globalstar. “This achievement illustrates how global satellite systems can integrate with advanced technologies to offer vital services in dynamic and demanding environments. We view this as a pivotal moment for our partnership and a significant way for Globalstar to leverage our satellite infrastructure in commercializing new services.”

The demonstration not only emphasizes the advanced capabilities of Parsons’ solution but also illustrates the advantages of working closely on a technological solution at both the RF and system levels.
