West Coast Show Support, founded by Kenny and Harim Driggs, was recently honored with a Business Spotlight at the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce (CCCC) luncheon.
Originally from Anaheim, California, the Driggs family found a new home in Carbon County in early 2021, as the COVID pandemic reshaped the landscape of live entertainment.
Specializing in live entertainment, particularly in lighting and design, West Coast Show Support continues to operate primarily from California, where the bulk of its revenue is generated. However, the company has already made significant impacts by hosting several productions in Helper, Utah.
In collaboration with Helper City Mayor Lenise Peterman and local community members, the Driggs have invested over $300,000 in upgrading the lighting system and $150,000 in enhancing audio quality at the historic Rio Theatre in Helper.
Demonstrating a strong commitment to community engagement, West Coast Show Support has organized various entertainment and lighting design events for local organizations, including Sally Mauro Elementary and the Carbon Lady Dino's Wrestling team, all at no cost. The Driggs prioritize giving back whenever possible.
Harim shared that through Kenny's unique training skills, many local individuals have pursued successful careers with major production companies.
The Driggs take pride in providing local youth with unique experiences they might not otherwise have, and they actively participate in charitable initiatives. West Coast Show Support has also contributed to fundraising efforts for local organizations, including the Trinity Food Pantry and the Helper Police Department.
